1953
Wigmore Village Hall was founded by the then Leominster Town Council and local residents following the donation of land by a local family – the Kevill Davies family. Much of the construction was undertaken by local people following grants from Leominster Town Council. The hall was officially opened in 1956 by Mr D F E Griffiths – a well-known local landowner.
1997
Toilets, kitchen and additional rooms added following an agreement with the then Leominster Town Council and Wigmore Group Parish Council.
...to the present
A range of updates and additional facilities were implemented following grants from a range of funders including the National Lottery Fund, Awards for All, Garfield Weston, Western Power, Herefordshire Council and Wigmore Group Parish Council.
Further work included renovating the area to the rear of the hall to enable its use for various celebrations. In 2022 the front asbestos-based roof was replaced and in 2024 we installed new infrared heating.
